Kelly Hocker
Owner | Executive Director
Kelly is a co-founder and managing partner of the company having earned degrees from Indiana University and Indiana Wesleyan University. Kelly has over 12 years of translation management experience bringing with him a diverse background in business, marketing, project management and accounting. Kelly is currently studying Spanish.
Bill Zart
Owner | Translation Director
Bill is a translator and linguist who received his Bachelor's Degree in Russian, Spanish and French and his Master's Degree in Russian and Spanish Linguistics in 1991 and 1993 respectively from Purdue University. In 1990, he studied Russian at the Pushkin Institute in Moscow. He has a passion for languages and is currently studying Mandarin Chinese and Italian.
Jennifer Porter
Academic Director
Jenna has been the academic director for over eight years. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Theatre from Franklin College of Indiana. In 1997, she received her Master's in Education with a concentration in TESOL from Shenandoah University. She is an member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
Marietta Suarez
Senior Spanish Translator
Marietta has been with for five years. Ooriginally from Cuba, she had been living in Venezuela for many years prior to coming to the US. When it comes to translation, she's a perfectionist working tirelessly to deliver the best possible translation. She specializes in technical translations like machinery and home remodeling regularly producing over 3,000 words a day of translation from English into Spanish.
Carmen Mejías
Spanish Interpreter
Carmen has been working with us for nearly a decade in many capacities. She is a Spanish interpreter who specializes in legal, marketing and education. Carmen is from Venezuela and studied Business Administration at the Instituto Universitario de Tecnología Antonio José de Sucre in Venezuela.
Magdy Mirabal
Multilingual Graphic Designer | Spanish Instructor
Magdy brings many years of experiences as an architect, management consultant and health administrator. In 1985, she received her degree in Architecture in Venezuela, a Master's Degree in Management Logistics in 1992 and a Master's Degree in Health Administration from IUPUI in 2000. She brings 20+ years of experience to The Foreign Language Company.
Annamaria Proksch
Supervising Project Manager
Anna is a native of Varese, Italy. She started her studies at the University of Milan. After moving to New York in 1999, she finished her studies at SUNY Geneseo and graduated with a major in French and a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature. Her knowledge of Italian and French and outstanding organizational skills make her a perfect fit for us.
Jonathon Henley
Project Manager
Jon joined our team as a project manager in August 2006. He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, having earned his Bachelor's Degree in German and International Studies. Prior to graduation, he studied for the entire academic year of 2004-2005 at the University of Freiburg in Germany. In the summer of 2004, he worked with us as an intern.
Oscar Canon
Spanish Instructor and Reviewer
Oscar joined our team in 2007 as a Spanish instructor. He is from Manizales, Colombia having studied Electronics and Programming at La Salle University in Bogotá, Colombia. In 1998, he moved to Denver where he received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado. In September 2008, he joined us full time as a Spanish Language Instructor and Reviewer.
Jean Proyet
South Florida Representative | French Translator
Jean has been in the United States for nearly 40 years. He is a native of the Provençal region of Southern France. He is both our representative in South Florida and a technical French translator who specializes in legal translations, product packaging and electrical appliances, which has earned him the nickname, the "King of Toasters."
Christiane Wheatley
St. Louis Representative | Portuguese Translator
Christiane is a native of Brazil who has been living in the US for almost 20 years. She began studying English, French and Spanish in Brazil with her sights set on diplomatic career, having studied International Relations at the Universidade de Brasília and later working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Finnish Embassy. She translates technical, financial and insurance documents.
