Spanish

It is estimated that around 560 million people speak Spanish as a first or second language. Though Spanish originated in Europe the vast majority of its speakers reside in the Americas. In fact the most populous Spanish speaking country in the world is Mexico.

Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations as well as many other international organizations including the European Union and the Union of South American nations.

It is the official language of 29 countries thus covering vast cultures and people, all sharing this common tongue.
